WEN hosts a biennual luncheon with all proceeds benefiting a local charity. The 2012 Charity Lunch will benefit AVDA (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse). AVDA was chosen because of the important work the organization undertakes to resuce women and children from battered relationships and empower them to build a safe life on their own. WEN looks to choose a charity recipient that serves women and/or children and AVDA does both.
