The Interfaith Advisory Council held its inaugural annual An Evening of Remembrance, Caring, and Hope on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Houston City Hall, 901 Bagby. Co-sponsored by AVDA (Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse), Daya and Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, this multi-faith vigil was held in memory of domestic violence victims and in celebration of survivors. Faith leaders representing Houston’s major religions read the names of those victims who lost their lives to domestic violence in 2018.
