AVDA’s Houston accredited BIPP group recovery programs are the first to be accredited in the state of Texas, and AVDA is a leader in battering intervention in the Gulf Coast Region. AVDA’s licensed counselors facilitate psycho-educational group programs to foster personal change within our participants to help them identify and end abusive behaviors, understand the impact of their actions on their loved ones, and to help create healthy relationships for the future.
About AVDA’s BIPP Classes and Recovery Programs in Houston
All of our payments may be assessed according to an income slider-scale in order to allow everyone, no matter what financial background, to attend. Additionally, we do provide scholarships for certain participants that may cover program fees at absolutely no cost to you.
What you will receive for signing up for our accredited BIPP classes and programs in Houston:
- A minimum of 18 sessions held once a week (the 18-week minimum is based on state Accreditation Guidelines required of all accredited BIPP programs)
- Available classes during the daytime, night, and weekend
- English and Spanish options
- Separate counseling for women and men
- 2 hour sessions with our fully licensed counselors, as well as intake and orientation sessions
The accredited BIPP classes provide tools for rehabilitation and change by providing a thorough assessment that holds the participants accountable for their actions. In collaboration with the court system, the participants of the group recovery program will receive an individualized plan to provide referral for substance abuse, mental health, and other recovery needs in order to best serve the needs of our clients.
AVDA’s Houston Accredited BIPP Group Recovery Programs are taught in multiple locations scattered throughout the greater Houston area (Harris, Galveston and Montgomery counties), so there is bound to be a location near you.
